How to set up WeChat
In China WeChat replaces email, the telephone and the business card — without it business conversation simply will not start.
Registration
The account is created against a phone number. Registering from a foreign number often needs a vouch from an existing user.
The person vouching must have been registered long enough and not have vouched for anyone else recently — otherwise the request is rejected.
Worth knowing
Arrange the vouch before you fly. Finding a suitable person on your first day in a foreign country is quite a task.
After registering
Fill in your profile with your real name: partners add you from a business card and search for you by it.
New accounts are limited on payments at first — verification and ordinary use lift that.
Careful
A new account can be blocked in its first days for sudden activity: mass contact requests or bulk messaging. Start quietly.
