What Ele.me is for
Ele.me (饿了么, ‘hungry?’) competes with Meituan: the same restaurants, similar prices, sometimes different deals. Compare both and order where it’s cheaper.
Since 2025 the service has been growing under the 淘宝闪购 (Taobao Instant Commerce) brand — the store may list the app under that name.
How to install
Download Ele.me
Install the app only from the official store or the developer’s website.
Ele.me isn’t on Google Play. On Android the Alipay mini-program is the most reliable route.
Via Alipay — no install
Find 饿了么 on Alipay’s home screen or search for Ele.me. Sign-in and payment go through your Alipay account.
Or as a standalone app
On iPhone — from the App Store. For Android it isn’t on Google Play: download it from the official website.
How to order
Address
In Chinese, with building and flat or hotel room number. Save it — next time just pick it from the list.
Basket and payment
Watch the minimum order and delivery fee — they’re shown under the restaurant name. Payment is via Alipay.
Tracking
The courier is shown on the map; the arrival time updates live.
If it won’t work
The restaurant won’t deliver to you — each has its own delivery zone; try a nearby one. Order missing — use the support button on the order card; refunds for non-delivery are usually automatic.
